Predicting the outcome of every game may seem like a Herculean task, but for Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, it’s become somewhat routine.
The former long-time assistant claims to have an uncanny knack for knowing how his team’s games will pan out even before the first kick. The Dolphins‘ current 5-6 record in 2024 was anticipated by McDaniel. This is because, as the 41-year-old reveals, his four-year-old daughter has accurately foreseen the result of each game this season, giving him a heads-up about each of the AFC East team’s six losses.
But it’s not all doom and gloom. Alya McDaniel also tipped off her dad about the Dolphins’ victories, including their 34-19 triumph over the Las Vegas Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium earlier this month. This was the day when the head coach unveiled his daughter’s extraordinary talent.

Caught on camera ahead of the November 17 showdown, McDaniel was heard telling officials: “My daughter is four, she tells me exactly how it is. We’re 3-6 and she’s told me, correctly, every game, if we’re going to win or lose.”
“So she told me to my face, before the game, on numerous occasions that I was going to lose. And I was like: “All right Alya, wait and see… oh you’re right. ” But she said we’re going to win today, so..”
Indeed, they did just that, securing back-to-back victories against the Raiders and then triumphing over the New England Patriots a week later. This puts the Dolphins on a three-game winning streak as they head into Thursday’s Thanksgiving face-off with the Green Bay Packers – and perhaps Alya already has an inkling if they’ll extend it to four.

McDaniel is certainly hoping for such an outcome, though any pre-match conversation with his daughter hinting at anything less than a win will undoubtedly have him on edge. However, he can take solace in the return of wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
The 30-year-old had been grappling with a wrist injury leading up to today’s game, which limited his participation in practice earlier this week. But it seems he’ll be donning his gear at Lambeau Field after being removed from Miami’s final injury report for Week 13.
In addition, Hill saw his citations for seatbelt violation and careless driving dismissed after Miami-Dade Police officers failed to appear for a court hearing, resulting in the dismissal, according to Fox Sports.
The former track and field star had a dramatic encounter with police in September when he was pulled from his car and pinned to the ground en route to a game, prompting Hill to demand the firing of the arresting officer.
