The Dallas Cowboys are back in form – and Micah Parsons has a clear message for their doubters after a vital Thanksgiving win over the New York Giants.

Mike McCarthy’s men won at home for the first time this season as they beat the Giants 27-20, and Parsons believes a play-off place isn’t yet out of reach. The linebacker came out firing when he gave a passionate post-game interview in light of NFL icon and FOX pundit Terry Bradshaw‘s contentious comments suggesting major changes are needed at the AT&T Stadium.

Parsons, 25, spoke to FOX reporter Erin Andrews just before tucking into the traditional Thanksgiving turducken reserved for the victors on Thursday. He had a definitive answer when quizzed about what’s changed after Dallas sealed back-to-back wins, with McCarthy and certain stars of the roster under increasing pressure to perform.

“To be honest, it’s really been a case of, ‘why not us?’ Everybody counted us out,” said the fourth-year NFL veteran. “And it was just like, ‘enough’s enough.’

“We know what we got, we know what we can do here, and I believe in every one of these guys. I believe we’re going to turn it around and make a run.”

It’s perhaps not a coincidence the Cowboys have looked more motivated since Pittsburgh Steelers legend Bradshaw came out criticising certain aspects of the franchise. The 76-year-old let rip at head coach McCarthy and even tipped Dallas to trade Parsons come the end of this season.

“I think Mike McCarthy is probably going to get released at the end of the year,” said Bradshaw on FOX NFL Sunday earlier in November. “They had three years in a row where they had 12-5 seasons but they haven’t won one play-off game.”

Parsons’ contract is due to expire in 2025, and Bradshaw suggested he’d hold more value on the market. The 76-year-old also said: “My answer to Dallas’ problems is they need more talent, so I would take Parsons and I wouldn’t sign him. He’s in his fourth year and would be in his fifth year. Trade him and get an extra No.1.”

The Cowboys are now 5-7 and sit third in the NFC East, trailing the 9-2 Philadelphia Eagles and the 7-5 Washington Commanders. Any chances of making the post-season are far better off with Parsons not only fit and healthy but fired up to prove a point to their naysayers.
