A marine has been charged with murdering a reality TV star contestant and escort after allegedly googling: “How does a dead body look in two days”.
Willie Ellington, 20, was arrested following the discovery of missing single mom Tshey Bennett’s body in a pond of an abandoned neighborhood in Mobile, Alabama. Police said they launched their investigation on December 14 after Tshey, who was on the HollyHoodTV series Skrippa Bootcamp vanished. They first went to Sweet Dreams Inn, which is just 20 miles from from where Ellington was based aboard the Naval Air Station Pensacola, according to Military.com.
But soon after arriving, they started a murder investigation when they found the door to her room open and the bedding from the hotel missing. Police later went through the CCTV footage at the Sweet Dreams Inn and spotted Ellington visiting the address in a rented vehicle. They later traced the movements of the car to Alabama where they sadly found Tshey’s body.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook: “The investigation led to the discovery of the deceased body of Tshey Bennett on 12/18/24 in a pond located in an abandoned neighborhood in Mobile, Alabama.”
Police arrested Ellington as he was ‘trying to leave town’ on a bus in Opelika, Alabama., according to a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office. When they looked through his phone, they discovered numerous chilling internet searches that potentially linked him to Tshey’s tragic death. Investigators told Military.com that these included: “’Can someone scream when they’re strangled? What is the statistic of prostitutes homicides being solved…’ and ‘How does a dead body look in two days?'” Ellington was later charged with first degree murder and possession of child pornography.

Jessica Ramirez, who was friends with Tshey for more than ten years told Wear News ABC3 she was the ‘funniest girl’. She said: “I can’t even put it in words how many people cared about this girl. I wish she was here so she could see, Tshey look how many people care about you. I don’t even know if she knew.”
“Tshey was the most humble, funniest girl I’ve ever met in my life. There was not ever a dull moment with her… The person that did it, the coward, thought nobody was going to look for her or she was going to go missing and no one was going to care. Nope. Literally everybody was distraught, everybody was worried. We were all trying to get to the bottom of it.”
