The last time the Buffalo Bills traded away their first-round pick was in 2020, when they sent out the selection in return for Stefon Diggs.
Diggs changed the trajectory of the franchise for the better, giving Josh Allen a true No. 1 weapon. And now Bills general manager Brandon Beane has suggested he might be looking for a similar blockbuster deal.
“I would not flinch,” Beane told reporters at the NFL Combine. “I say this on the golf course: I’m a lot of things, but scared ain’t one of ’em.”

Buffalo is slated to pick No. 30 in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Bills have a number of possible needs, including the never-ending pursuit of more pass rush to go along with wide receiver, defensive tackle or cornerback.
When the Bills picked up Diggs from the Vikings, Buffalo sent out a first-round, fourth-round, fifth-round and sixth-round pick and also received a seventh-round choice in return.
There’s already been predictions by NFL writers that Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf could be a possible target for Buffalo after the star wideout requested a trade from Seattle on Wednesday.
The Bills’ current receiving corps is led by the recently extended Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman, who will is heading into his second season.
Buffalo lost by just three points in the AFC Championship to the Chiefs, so the Bills could be looking for win-now sort of upgrades.
