Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill made plenty of headlines immediately after the season ended but entering free agency, he won’t be the talk of the league.
Instead, the discourse around the NFL will surround Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf, who requested a trade Wednesday. The Seahawks reportedly agreed to explore potential landing spots for the 28-year-old star.
Hill immediately took to social media to give his reaction of the news, which sent shockwaves through the league Wednesday.
Plenty of rumors flew around after Hill expressed some frustration at the end of the season, the first without a playoff appearance under head coach Mike McDaniel. However, general manager Chris Grier shot down any notions during his season-ending press conference that Hill requested a trade.
And most recently, Hill gave Dolphins fans something to look forward to entering the 2025 season.
Dealing with a nagging wrist injury along with several moving pieces at the quarterback position, Hill posted 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. It was the first time since his rookie campaign that he failed to reach 1,000 receiving yards while playing at least 15 games.
We’ll see where Metcalf ends up but, for now, Hill is gearing up for a comeback campaign in South Beach.
