LSU gymnast and social media sensation Olivia “Livvy” Dunne showed her adventurous side on Christmas Eve by taking a daring polar plunge into the chilly waters of Belmar Beach, New Jersey. Despite the near-freezing temperatures, Dunne didn’t let the cold deter her festive spirit.
Clad in a festive red bikini, the 22-year-old braved the elements and ran into the icy Atlantic Ocean before retreating back to shore, where her loyal golden retriever, Roux, greeted her warmly. Dunne captured the exhilarating moment on video, sharing it with her 8.1 million TikTok followers and Instagram audience.
In her TikTok post, Dunne humorously admitted, “I hate the cold,” as fans flooded her comments with admiration for her bold holiday tradition.
A Festive and Busy Week
The polar plunge caps off an eventful few days for Dunne, who has been enjoying her time back home in New Jersey after officially graduating from LSU last week with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Her whirlwind holiday schedule has included festive outings around the New York area. On Saturday, she visited Rockefeller Center to marvel at the iconic Christmas tree, sharing snaps of the evening with her followers. That same night, Dunne dined with her boyfriend, MLB star pitcher Paul Skenes, at Cucina Alba, an upscale Italian eatery in Chelsea, New York City.
A Night at the Devils Game
Dunne’s festive adventures continued Monday when she attended the New Jersey Devils’ 5-0 victory over the rival New York Rangers at Prudential Center in Newark. Representing her home-state team, Dunne donned a custom Devils jersey from the 2024 Stadium Series, complete with her name stitched on the back.
Her appearance at the game didn’t go unnoticed. She was featured on the scoreboard, much to the excitement of fans, and took time to pose for photos, even accommodating a sizable line of admirers eager to meet her in person.
