The NFL looks set to add further international games to it’s schedule in the coming years with the league eyeing up three new locations away from the United States.
The league will play five games away from the US in 2024, with one already being played in Brazil while the first of three London games will kick off on Sunday.
Two further games will be held in London in consecutive weeks before the NFL will hold a game in Germany for the third straight year, with the league said to be exploring other opportunities.

Spain, France and Ireland are said to be the favorites to host an NFL game – potentially as soon as 2025 – with the Pittsburgh Steelers being a prime candidate to play in Dublin, ESPN has reported.
The NFL has yet to play a game in any of the three mentioned countries, with reports continuing that they will look to expand, having regularly seen sell-out crowds in their international games.
After playing a game in Brazil for the first time, Goodell had spoken about the potential of the game expanding across the world – after previously stating he’d like to see 16 international games a year.

Prior to the Minnesota Vikings facing the New York Jets in London, he said: “My perspective goes back to the ’90s. We went to Japan, we went to Berlin — what you saw were fans that didn’t really understand the game.
“Now, you go over to London and you have a hard time telling whether you’re in London or whether you’re in the Meadowlands. The fans there are sophisticated; they understand the game, they appreciate the game. And for me, that’s what I think gives us so much confidence that our game can be a global game.”
The Chicago Bears will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London next weekend, before the Jaguars will then face the New England Patriots in the same city before the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants travel to Germany.
