ESPN analyst Jason Kelce put his clash with a heckler at Beaver Stadium, Pennsylvania behind him – as he celebrated with Phildelphia Eagles fans after their win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The on-time Super Bowl winner sparked controversy after his clash with an individual on Nov. 2 as he repeated a homophobic slur used. In a video that went viral on social media, the 37-year-old was also shown throwing the man’s phone as his anger spilled over in an ugly scene.
However, after Penn State University Police launched an investigation into the incident, the former football center appeared in upbeat spirits following the Eagle’ most recent game. After his old employers defeated the Cowboys in a resounding 34-6 win, Kelce was seen interacting with fans and signing the Philadelphia anthem “Fly, Eagles, Fly” at a bar in Santa Monica, California.

His celebrations went down a storm with the Eagles faithful too, with fans taking to social media in their droves to comment on the clip of Kelce in jubilant mood. One enthusiast praised the retired ace for his humility, saying: “Man of the people,” while a second said: “Someone is living his best life. When anyone asks if he misses putting his body on the line….show them this video. He’s fine.”
The elder Kelce brother made a major impression with a third commenter, who remarked: “I’ve always liked the Chefs, long before Travis Kelce played on the team. I really like the Kelce brothers, and have become a Philadelphia fan because of Jason. GO BIRDS,” as another added: “Man is a god in Philly.”
Addressing the aforementioned incident involving a fan in Pennsylvania, the ESPN analyst retrospectively expressed his regret at what had occurred. Issuing an on-air apology prior to a clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs, he said: “I think everybody’s seen on social media everything that took place this week.

“Listen, I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing, I really don’t. I don’t think it leads to discourse and it’s the right way to go about things. In that moment I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have.
“The bottom line is, I try to live my life by the golden rule, that’s what I’ve always been taught to try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward.”
Meanwhile, PHLY Sports host Jon Marks took to X/Twitter to criticize the Eagles icon following this address, saying: “Kelce has to realize that his profile is bigger than it ever was as a player. He’s making big $$$ across multiple platforms and his brother might marry the biggest pop star ever. He can’t be spiking people’s phones. He needs security to deal with this s***.”
In contrast, Bartstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy contended: “‘The only thing Kelce should have apologized for is maybe using the F word. But anybody with a brain knows he was just repeating what was said to him. If he called him a p****, b****, a****** that woulda been the word he used. Golden rule was applied perfectly. He treated that guy exactly how he deserved to be treated.”
