Utah Jazz star center Walker Kessler couldn’t contain his excitement after his girlfriend, Abbie Stockard, was crowned Miss America 2025. The 22-year-old Alabama native and nursing student won the prestigious title on Sunday during the competition in Orlando, Florida—the same evening the Jazz defeated the Orlando Magic 105-92 in a nearby arena.

Kessler, 23, took to Instagram on Monday to celebrate Stockard’s achievement, posting a touching message that captured his admiration for her dedication and character.
“Congratulations Abbie! I am so proud of you and everything you stand for. Your hard work and trust in the Lord has awarded you with this incredible opportunity! Use your light to shine on others around you! Love you,” Kessler wrote.
The post also included a video clip of Kessler watching the broadcast on his phone. In a candid moment of joy, the 7-foot athlete dropped his phone in disbelief when Stockard’s name was announced as the winner.
